At TECNIQ, we are immensely proud to have played a pivotal role in the creation of one of the most iconic performance cars of our time — Mercedes AMG’s most extreme road car.
F1 Power On the Road
This groundbreaking project represents the pinnacle of automotive engineering achievement. A £2.3m, limited-production, ultra-premium, plug-in hybrid hypercar inspired by f1 technology.
Delivering 1000+ bhp from a 1.6-litre V6 turbocharged petrol engine allied to four electric motors paired with a lightweight, super-strong, carbon-fibre monocoque derived from F1 technology.
A true showcase of what’s possible when innovation and craftsmanship come together.
Meeting Customer Need
When prestigious automotive brands undertake halo vehicle programmes, they require partners who offer two essential qualities: exceptional engineering and manufacturing excellence, and a specialism in low-volume projects.
A rare combination.
Here at TECNIQ, we are purpose-built to not only meet but exceed those expectations.
TECNIQ’s Role in the Development of the AMG One
TECNIQ was contracted to develop the full interior of the vehicle, including:
- visual and structural carbon fibre elements
- seats
- complex carbon-fibre steering wheel
- fully structural carbon fibre cross beam
- integration of overhead console screen unit encapsulated in the headliner
Taking supplied surface designs into full design and engineering through to final production, we worked together with the customers’ studio team, and key suppliers, to ensure seamless delivery at a pace rarely seen in the industry. This included rigorous prototyping, extensive testing, and in-depth manufacturing feasibility studies.
Speed was crucial, so we developed rapid tooling solutions and precision assembly jigs to maintain momentum without compromising quality.
Craftsmanship and Customisation
Advanced, complex manufacturing, assembly techniques and premium materials brought each component to life.
A-class visual and structural carbon fibre, precision-machined and finished metals, intricately painted injection-moulded parts, unique paint treatments, braided cables, anodised components, intricate pad printing, embroidery, and luxury-grade leather and Alcantara with complex stitching techniques; all contributed to the ultra-premium feel and finish.
Five standard finish themes were developed, each offering full customisation potential to suit customer tastes and enhance exclusivity.
Every solution, every surface, every component, and every stitch is a testament to our commitment to excellence and customer delivery
Delivering with Quality and Precision
We are proud to say the programme was completed on time and on budget, with minimal warranty work — a clear reflection of the robustness of our unique approach and the dedication of our team.
Perhaps most rewarding of all was the response from our customer. The project was extremely well received, and we continue to enjoy a strong relationship, with ongoing contracts that further cement our partnership.
Ultra-premium, Low-Volume Development Programmes
